These scenes in the movie lay out the framework for the problems in society during that time period. Anti-Semitism is reoccurring here, but the Joining of Blacks and Jews during this time can also be witnessed during the scene including Martin Luther King speech. Driving Miss Daisy was one of those wonderful feel-good movies that always seems to touch your heart. The main message of the movie is that a person of any background whatsoever can get along with another person of a completely different background, as did Miss Daisy and Hook. Throughout the movie Miss Daisy and Hook go through some rough times, but they become best friends. Miss Daisy forgets all about her prejudice, and becomes a much more humble woman. In her forgetting prejudice it is quite easy to see that she seems to be more at peace, happier with herself, and with life in general.
